Juliana loves the Lord and her hope is to help share His heart with others - she is so excited to get to do this with children. Juliana has her B.A. in child and adolescent development from California State University San Marcos. She also has over six years experience working with children in various educational contexts such as preschool teaching, homeschool teaching/tutoring, coaching, and volunteering. She hopes to help build students up in education, discipleship, and Godly character using the Bible as her guide every step of the way. She looks forward to learning alongside the children with their curiosity and creativity. It is her heart's passion to serve children by pointing them straight to Jesus and she enjoys getting to do this by weaving Him into every part of their education. Juliana loves her two golden doodles, Simba and Boe, her book club, exercising, writing, and catching the sunsets at her favorite bluff spot in Carlsbad.
Taylor was born and raised in Georgia, where she developed a deep love for music and art. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commercial Music from Liberty University, where she also served as a Resident Assistant. Since high school, she has been actively involved in leading worship and continues to nurture her passion for music and art through personal endeavors and volunteering at her local church. Taylor has previous experience in both choir and art classes working at a private Christian school in Baton Rouge, LA, and has been actively involved in leading speech and debate clubs for the past seven years. Her 9 years of teaching include classroom experience, homeschooling, tutoring across various subjects, private instruction, coaching, mentoring, and leading youth events both at her church and through her college years. Her experience in education and ministry has equipped her to guide students in their academic and spiritual journeys.
Recently, Taylor and her husband, Jonah, relocated from Baton Rouge, LA. Taylor is excited to be in San Diego and is looking forward to embracing new opportunities and sharing her love for art, music, and faith.
Joni Schulz is a native San Diegan growing up in Carlsbad. She is currently blessed to be living in South Oceanside, a 5-minute walk from the beach. Joni is the middle child in a resilient and loving family of five. She is eager to follow the Lord in all areas of her life, and Joni desires continual growth and equipping in her walk with God. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at California State University of San Marcos and is pursuing her Master’s degree in Early Education and teaching credential through Grand Canyon University. She has experience with youth and education through home school teaching, private tutoring, afterschool athletic programs, and volunteering with youth at her home church. She is thrilled to continue her teaching career guiding her students towards the Lord, His promises, His character, and His will for their lives. Joni spends most of her free time in fellowship, going on beach walks, reading, or volunteering her time as a small group leader in her church’s high school ministry.
Monica Spiker was born in Bucharest, Romania during the communist reign. She moved to Southern California at age seven and quickly learned about God‘s faithfulness. She has since lived all over the country including San Francisco, Boston, Los Angeles and settled down in San Diego with its lovely nature and outdoor lifestyle. Monica earned a B.A. in Organizational Management from Ashford University, and her California state teaching credential in Multiple Subjects from California State, Los Angeles. After working in the corporate world for over 28 years, Monica decided to shift her energy toward her family and opened a private daycare where she could spend her days with her young children and her nights studying for her teaching credential exams. Monica has been teaching in both the public school and Christian private school sector for 5 years. In addition to teaching, Monica runs a summer adventure camp for children where they can learn hands on through nature of Gods eternal hope and salvation.
Monica and her husband, Brian are blessed with two beautiful children, Fiona, age eight, and Finneas, seven. Monica loves teaching the next generation about Jesus, children and the great outdoors!
Sami grew up in Long Beach, California, and enjoys living in San Diego with her husband, Luke, and their boxer puppy, Amani. She holds a B.A. in Theology from California Baptist University and is pursuing a Masters in Education from Arizona State University. Sami has a passion for equipping students to discover their identity in Christ through education. She has experience with youth and education through youth ministry as the Student Ministries Intern at her church and 2 years as the Secondary English and Bible Teacher at Liberty Christian School. Her heart is to help students grow in their faith while developing a love for learning and the tools to interpret Scripture. Sami is also deeply involved with International Justice Mission, where she volunteers her time advocating for justice. On weekends, you’ll find her exploring the outdoors, camping, or studying church history at a cute coffee shop. Sami is excited to continue her journey in education and ministry, encouraging students to pursue both academic and spiritual growth.
